- From article in fine woodworking. Plans aren’t much good
- Top folds out for large desk (covered with felt)
- Drawer pulls out from side to hold writing materials (pen, ink, paper, etc.)
- Use slotted holes for dowels on breadboard ends
- Slots for the stand to fold into
- Polyurethane finish
- John said he would offer the plans & info for free if you’d like

- Create half-laps for the mullions, using the tablesaw and dado blade
- Blade was angled with regular blade
- Then rabbeted it
- Greg made Box for his niece for graduation (pic 2)
- Wife liked it, so he scaled it down for a Christmas present
- Woodcraft was base plan, but
- Epee and figured maple
- Took base plan and reduced by 1/3
- Finish was quick (up Christmas eve) so laquer finish
- Chris created a shadow box (a lot of time using for people retiring) (pic 4)
- Put stuff folks used for their career (flags, medals, etc.) for them to remember
- We had guy retiring from shop
- Maple with base and splines of walnut
- 45 degree corners with splines
- Chopsaw for the 45 degree edges, then tablesaw for splines
- Plan to finish with 3 coats of tung oil
- Jim talked about some videos online for sharpening with Norm, GuitarWorks, and safety video. He will send out links
- Mike talked about Triton
- Australian company getting into US. They have a good reputation
- Got track saw, sharpener, and dowelmax (similar to Festool Domino)
- Brian will have these items in our tool library. Items up for grabs
- Ken Lehr is an original member of the guild, and back in the hospital again. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers
- Jim demonstrated the Triton sharpener (similar to the Tormek)
- Doesn’t spray much water
- Water level fill up, but then you’ll have to refill, because the stone sucks up the water to start
- Use jig to hold tool, then use marker to set angle/height of jig
- Once you get adjusted right, turn on and run blade over stone evenly
- Meeting broke up into smaller discussions of woodworking topics and projects
